Edmunds Racinskis saw RY+RGflag at Vålådalen Nature Reserve, Jämtland, Sweden, which is near the Sweden/Norway border. It was in breeding habitat; the image he took shows it perched on vegetation. The bird was ringed in the nature reserve of the Salinas do Samouco on the south side of the Tagus estuary http://www.salinasdosamouco.pt/
Several members of the Farlington Ringing Group were there at the time, as part of the long-standing partnership between ourselves and local ornithologists (see Area Information page of this website). Afonso Rocha, who leads the ringing team at Samouco, says this is the first record of a bird from the scheme in the breeding grounds.
